The substances commonly used as primary standards :-

In neutralization reactions:
Sodium carbonate, sodium tetraborate, potassium hydrogenpthalate, constant boiling point hydrochloric acid, potassium hydrogen iodate and benzoic acid.

In precipitation reactions:
Silver, silver nitrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and potassium bromide (prepared from potassium bromate)

In complex formation reactions:

Silver, silver nitrate, sodium chloride, various metals (spectroscopically pure zinc, magnesium, copper and manganese) and salts.

In oxidation reduction reactions:
Potassium dichromate, potassium bromate, potassium iodate, potassium hydrogen iodate, sodium oxalate, arsenic oxide and pure iron.
